This last post for 2020 has one purpose: to thank you, my readers, for visiting the blog frequently, for reaching out to provide feedback and ideas. Let me share a quick recap with you and send you my best wishes for the holiday season and the new year.
The blog is online for slightly more than 2 years, it now contains a total of 101 posts and it had close to 100.000 visits from more than 120 countries so far.
This of course would not have been possible without your support, which I am very grateful for. I would also like to send a heartfelt Merci Beaucoup to Blancpain for allowing me to capture their timepieces and for providing a lot of helpful information.
“Horologically” it’s been a very rewarding year for me. I had the opportunity to capture the Blancpain novelties and share the results and information with you just in time. And what a lineup of new timepieces it was!
I also was able to cover recent collection highlights like the Villeret Calendrier Chinois Traditionnel, the Villeret Quantieme Perpetuel, the two Demi Savonette timepieces and the red gold Fifty Fathoms 5015 with a blue ceramic dial, as well as some marvels from the past like the Fifty Fathoms Concept 2000 and the Villeret Chronographe Monopoussoir.
And personally I was able to finally add the amazing Air Command and complete my 40mm Fifty Fathoms LE collection… only to recently learn that there now is a fifth one to hunt down… well, the journey continues 😉
And of course there’s the more than pleasant surprise of the year: the Bathyscaphe Mokarran, which I chose for this little home made greetings card.
Again, thank you for following and visiting the blog. I hope you stay with me for many more blog posts to come!
I wish all of you and your loved ones a Merry Christmas and all the best for 2021! May it be a bit less challenging than this one. Stay healthy, happy and passionate!
