I recently had the opportunity to get up close and personal with three new Villeret and two new Ladybird Colors timepieces. Since real life photos tell much more than official renderings I thought these impressions might be of interest to you, so here we go exploring the details of thoroughly beautiful novelties.

.
Three red gold Villeret with green dial
Let‘s start with the well known Villeret Extraplate reference 6651-3653-55B, which has been realized in many different versions over the years. The new combination of a polished red gold case with a beautiful green dial no doubt offers an exciting alternative.
.
This Villeret reference is a classic dress watch in most versions. The case has a diameter of 40mm at a height of only 8.7mm.
.
The watch is powered by caliber 1151, oscillating at 3HZ and providing a power reserve of 4 days. As usual the movement with its beautifully decorated rotor is visible through a sapphire case back.
.
Next we have a new Villeret in the same color scheme for ladies, the Quantieme Phases de Lune reference 6126-2953-55B. This 33.2mm timepiece has a height of 10.2mm, it features corrector pushers for the date and moon phase indications in the case flanks and a diamond set bezel that corresponds with the diamond hour markers on the dial.
.
The 33.2mm red gold case has a height of 10.2mm and features two small pushers for the date and moon phase indication in the case flank.
.
Caliber 913QL.P with 40 hours of power reserve is of course visible through the sapphire case back.

.
A highlight among the new models is the Villeret Quantieme Complet reference 6654A-3653-55B. This beauty offers a green moon phase disc and also green day and month discs to work in perfect harmony with the stunning dial.
.
The watch is powered by caliber 6654 with 4 days of power reserve. It offers course is a so-called secure movement, so you can’t damage the movement by setting the calendar indications at the wrong time.
.
A prominent feature of the beautifully shaped case is the lack of corrector pushers in the case flank. Instead the timepiece features the patented under-lug-correctors, not only a very aesthetic but also very comfortable solution.
.
Two expressive Ladybird Colors Phase de Lune
A new color makes its appearance in the Ladybird Colors lineup: coral blue numerals against a diamond set mother of pearl dial, surrounded by a red gold case and listed under reference 3662D-2954-55B.
.
Caliber 1163L with 4 days of power reserve oscillates with 3Hz and can be explored through a sapphire case back.

.
The 34.9mm case has a height of only 10.43mm. The bezel, lugs and crown carry diamonds, creating a playful, feminine yet sophisticated overall look.
.
In white gold the Ladybird Colors Rainbow now comes with a moon phase indication, too. here the reference number is 3662B-1954-95B.
.
The different numeral colors on the mother of pearl dial make this Ladybird Colors an even more extrovert piece.
The diamond setting on dial, bezel, lugs, crown and tang buckle are similar to the other models. And of course the timepiece is powered by the same caliber, again visible through the sapphire back.
.
All these novelties illustrate the broad scope of Blancpain beyond the Fifty Fathoms line. The established Villeret aesthetic gets a beautiful refresher with the stunning green dials, the tradition of Blancpain as a manufacturer of creative ladies timepieces is reinforced and executed in a very extrovert fashion by the Ladybird Colors models.
You find the new Villeret watches here and the new Ladybird Colors Phase de Lune variants here on the Blancpain website.
I hope you enjoyed this overview and the photos.
