Yesterday Blancpain launched a new website that offers the opportunity to virtually visit the Manufacture in the Le Brassus and Le Sentier locations. For all those that until now had no chance to visit in person, this new feature provides in depth information and some very interesting insights. Let’s take a look.
In 2018 I had the pleasure to visit the Manufacture in Le Brassus and Le Sentier, leaving me with unforgettable impressions and an even higher appreciation for the dedication and craftsmanship at Blancpain. I was therefore very pleasantly surprised when today Blancpain launched a dedicated website for a virtual tour of both locations:
The tour starts with a view on the beautiful Vallée de Joux and then offers the decision between Le Brassus and Le Sentier. In the Le Brassus farmhouse you will find the ateliers for Grand Complication timepieces, the Métiers d’Art workshop and the Vintage Atelier.
Here you can visit the different ateliers, click on additional information or view some videos on the crafts applied or complications realized.
The rarely shown facility in Le Sentier, where the majority of employees are located, is the former Frederic Piguet location. Here you find everything from the first steps in creating a movement main plate to the creation and assembly of most Blancpain timepieces.
I started the virtual tour earlier today and I immediately realized that I will spend some considerable quality time to fully explore this new offer by Blancpain. I highly recommend you go on the tour for yourselves, most likely you will enjoy it as much as I do. The tour is available on PC or any mobile device.
A permanent link to the Blancpain virtual tour can be found in the about/links section of the blog, you can also access it from the Blancpain website. If you fancy some additional impressions you can find my report on the Manufacture visit here, on the Vintage Atelier here and the Métiers d’Art workshop here in the blog.
