This year, more specifically on November 5, we will again enjoy a Only Watch auction held in Geneva. Blancpain contributes to the exceptional bi-annual event since 2005, and of course there’s a beautiful unique piece this year: a Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 1 with blue dial and bezel.

.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that Blancpain chose to donate a Fifty Fathoms timepiece for this year’s Only Watch auction, it is an anniversary year for the iconic dive watch and we have already witnessed the introduction of two celebratory watches.
Act 1 was the Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary with a new 42.3mm case in stainless steel with black dial and bezel, produced in a total quantity of 210 pieces, split in three geographically oriented series.

.
Act 2 was the all new Fifty Fathoms Tech Gombessa with a 47mm titanium case, integrated strap and an absolute black dial with orange numerals. This remarkable timepiece also features a three hour bezel, especially designed for rebreather diving and tested by Lauren Ballesta.

.
So which timepiece would Blancpain choose for the Only Watch piece unique? It is the Fifty Fathoms 70th Anniversary Act 1 reference 5010 with a blue dial and blue sapphire bezel. The dial features the faceted block shaped SuperLuminova numerals and indices, the pencil hands are also similar to the regular Anniversary watch.

.
The watch is powered by caliber 1315, decorated in the typical Fifty Fathoms style but equipped with a unique rotor carrying the Only Watch signature. Other than the regular FF 70th Anniversary Act 1 where the rotor is made from platinum, for this piece unique it is made from 18ct gold coated with a NAC platinum based alloy.

.
To summarize the details of this beautiful Only Watch Fifty Fathoms, here’s the data sheet:
