Last weekend I had the pleasure to follow Blancpain’s invitation to visit the greatest GT3 event of the year, the 70th(!) 24h of Spa Franchorchamps with 63 cars from 13 different manufacturers.

Blancpain is the namegiving sponsor of the racing series since many years now and the highlight of season was a perfect opportunity to invite guests from various countries to enjoy exciting motorsports, beautiful timepieces and unrivaled hospitality.

Let’s take a look around at the Blancpain hospitaliy to give you an idea:

Now, when it comes to a 24h race at one of the worlds most famous tracks, some impressions from the main event should not be left out…

Walking the course with its 7km length during nightfall is a lifetime experience. The atmosphere can hardly be captured in photos, but maybe these two work to get a flavor…

Now, since this report did not show any watches yet, here are some shots of the timepiece that belonged to a guest and impressed me a lot, especially in combination with the custom made Blancpain brownish grey Nubuk strap… the L’Evolution GMT Reveil:
