There are three new Blancpain Villeret timepieces introduced, a time only Villeret Extra-plate with a redesigned manual wind calibre, a 40mm Villeret GMT Date and last but not least a new beautiful and versatile ladies Villeret in various configurations. They all deserve a closer look…
Let’s start with a closer look at the Villeret Extra-plate ref 6605 in a 40mm stainless steel or red gold case which has a height of only 7,39mm.
This minimalist version of the Villeret embodies pure elegance and finally reintroduces a manual wind calibre from Blancpain. Calibre 11A4B is only 2,8mm thick at a diameter of 27,4mm, still providing a full 100 hours of power reserve.
It has a beautiful yet subtle finish, with a power reserve indicator featured on its back side.
The Villeret Extra-plate is also available on the exceptional Mille Mailles bracelet:
Next, let’s get closer to the Villeret GMT Date ref 6662, also available in stainless steel or red gold:
This 40mm watch has a height of 10,28mm, showing its automatic calibre 5A50 with 100 hours power reserve through a sapphire case back.
It’s a very classy timepiece with a useful second timezone indication for the traveling gentleman (or lady). For a slightly more extrovert look you can have it on the beautifully executed and hand assembled Mille Mailles bracelet:
Last but not least, this is the new ladies Villeret Women Date ref 6127 in either stainless steel or red gold and with or without diamonds on the dial and bezel.
The dial of this new 33,2mm Villeret shows an elegant oval date window and is executed in either plain white for the steel version or opaline for the red gold timepiece.
Reference 6127 is powered by calibre 1151 with its 100 hours power reserve and automatic winding, which can be seen through a sapphire case back. And of course this Villeret is available on a stainless steel or red gold Mille Mailles bracelet, if you don’t prefer it with a kit of 5 interchangeable straps in various colors.
My personal take on the three new models is that they all are a very strong addition to the Villeret line, with the Extra-plate and its manual wind movement probably being the superstar among them.
I hope you enjoyed the introduction and the photos. Again, a heartfelt Merci Beaucoup goes to Blancpain for having given me the opportunity to see the new watches for a photo session!
