This one left a very strong impression with me from my photo session: the Fifty Fathoms 5015 executed in brushed red gold with a blue ceramic dial, ref 5015-3603C-63B. This is an utterly beautiful timepiece in an unusual combination of colors.
A brave configuration it is, with the mix of warm and cold colors and executed in 45mm size. The blue leather strap on a solid red gold deployant clasp completes this very impressive timepiece.
You can easily picture this watch in a maritime setting, worn confidently on slightly tanned skin and perfecting a smart casual outfit. It speaks excellence and easiness at the same time, full of character and luxurious appeal.
The beautiful shapes of the 45mm Fifty Fathoms case work extremely fine with brushed finish… and with red gold.
The well known calibre 1315 is a marvel in this timepiece, visible through a sapphire case back and updated with a new style rotor, also in red gold.
For the first time Blancpain chose a ceramic dial for this timepiece. It has a slightly different expression than the blue FF dials we know from the titanium and limited white gold versions, the sunburst finish of the inner dial segment is even more subtle.
I am curious to see this one under bright sunlight, which obviously was not available during my photo session… but the opportunity will arise later this year. Here are two shots paying tribute to the weather during the photo shooting:
This version of the Fifty Fathoms does not emphasize its professional usability for diving, it lets the beautiful shapes and refined details shine… it just is a statement about enjoying life (and the look of this timepiece).
I think I better come to an end, otherwise I will just continue to further dwell about this beautiful watch – I guess you can tell from this introduction that I fell in love…
I hope you enjoyed the report and the photos. And, like in the other reports, I want to add a big MERCI BEAUCOUP to Blancpain for the opportunity of the novelties photo session!
As usual, please find the official press release and the technical data of this beautiful Fifty Fathoms below.
