There have been quite a few Flashback essays recently, but when opportunities arise they should be taken. Today I have the pleasure to share impressions of another late 1990s favorite, the Fifty Fathoms GMT reference 2250 in the regular and Concept 2000 versions.
Just in time to celebrate the new millennium, Blancpain introduced an avant garde design, called Concept 2000, within the Trilogy line in 1999. Let‘s take a closer look at the Fifty Fathoms Concept 2000, reference 2200-4430-44.
Launched in 1996 and discontinued in 2003, the Blancpain Trilogy series was the first attempt by the Manufacture since it’s resurrection to revitalize the strong heritage from the 1950s that was initiated by the first professional diving watch Fifty Fathoms and the very rare chronograph Air Command.
