Last weekend I had the pleasure to spend a few days with Blancpain and the brand ambassador Chef Holger Bodendorf for the 20th Sylt Gourmet Festival.
Holger Bodendorf‘s Landhaus Stricker has again been partly transformed into a showroom with not only a plentiful of exciting Blancpain timepieces displayed, but also providing a watchmakers workbench with the Blancpain Atelier manager Germany being present to answer any technical questions or even do some small adjustments on watches of the guests.
The Sylt Gourmet Festival has a tradition of bringing Chefs from all over the world to accompany the local masters. This year the guest Chefs came from Mexico, Oman, the Maledives, India and Spain. On an all day Safari the guests visited 5 different restaurants, each offering sensational food and excellent wines. For getting around two historic Magirus busses provided travel in style, and the island’s nature provided a fantastic scenery.
Now, of course I also focussed on the beautiful timepieces presented over the weekend and I had a chance to spend an hour getting up close with them and taking photos, which I of course would like to share with you.
Here are some impressions, hope you enjoy!

… the Atelier Manager had a lot of questions to answer from the food and watch travelers:
Let me close this report with a shot of my very happy Tribute to MilSpec…
… and of course a big THANK YOU to Blancpain Germany for having taken me along!
I hope you have enjoyed the report.
Cheers
